Haryana Eases CLU Approval Process
The Haryana government has announced a major simplification in the Change of Land Use (CLU) approval process. Officials stated that applicants will now need to submit only three documents instead of the earlier requirement of 19. The move is aimed at reducing paperwork and speeding up approvals.
Fewer Documents, Faster Clearances
The reduction in documentation is expected to make the process more convenient for property owners, developers, and investors. By cutting unnecessary formalities, the government hopes to improve efficiency and create a smoother experience for applicants seeking land-use permissions.
Large Areas Exempt from CLU Requirement
According to the government, nearly 70% of Haryana’s geographical area does not require CLU permission. This exemption is expected to benefit rural and semi-urban regions by allowing development activities to proceed without additional regulatory hurdles.
Boost for Investment and Development
State authorities believe the reforms will encourage investment and support economic growth. The simplified system is expected to improve the ease of doing business in Haryana while promoting faster industrial, commercial, and infrastructure development across the state.
